At sixteen, Irish folk singer-songwriter Sonny Casey began busking on the streets of Galway before busking her way all across Europe. 

 

Raised on Springsteen and traditional Irish Sean-nós singing, her music is shaped by the wild landscape of her home in Connemara and weaves traditional Irish vocal elements into a contemporary folk sound. Her music centres around warm, intimate vocals, simple arrangements, and honest, emotionally led narrative songwriting. 

 

The first single from her upcoming debut album is set for release in 2026. 

 

Sonny is currently based between Ireland, London and Berlin.
